K-12 EDUCATION

Nancy Lue

Managing Director, Valhalla Foundation

Nancy leads Valhalla’s K-12 Education program and team, including the development of strategy and investment recommendations as well as partnerships with co-funders and field leaders.

Before joining Valhalla, Nancy was a co-founder of the Advanced Education Research & Development Fund (AERDF), where she funded innovative programs tackling teaching and learning problems that disproportionately impact disadvantaged students. Nancy also previously served as Executive Director at the venture capital firm Global Silicon Valley, as the head of strategic planning and performance management at the U.S. Department of Education during the Obama Administration, and as a Principal at the Education Advisory Board. She has served on the boards of more than a dozen for-profit and nonprofit education organizations and has led board governance training nationally. Nancy is a first-generation college graduate, an Aspen-Pahara Fellow, a Presidential Leadership Scholar, and an American Leadership Forum Senior Fellow. Nancy holds a Master’s in Education and a BA from Harvard University.
