EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

Elena Elliott

Associate, Valhalla Foundation

Elena works on Valhalla’s early childhood team. As an Associate, she learns with and from grantees, helps grantees identify ways to extend their impact, works to understand field developments and trends, and derives key insights for the portfolio overall.

Before joining Valhalla, Elena was a student at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Education. Her studies centered on the early childhood workforce and the development of California’s PK-3 Early Childhood Education Specialist Credential. Elena has also served as a Teach for America corps member and taught kindergarten at Education for Change (a charter school network in Oakland, California) and KIPP Public Schools Northern California.

Elena has a Masters in Education from Stanford University and a BA in Public Policy from Duke University.
