Senior Director, Valhalla Foundation
Katharine leads Valhalla’s environmental innovation and collaborative philanthropy portfolios. In this role, she leads the development of strategy and grant recommendations and manages a portfolio of grantees, providing strategic coaching and thought partnership to accelerate their results.
Before joining Valhalla, Katharine was a Senior Philanthropy Director at the Climate Leadership Initiative, where she advised families and their teams on climate philanthropy globally. Prior to CLI, Katharine worked for several organizations — including Global Fund for Women, the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health, and the University of California at San Francisco —building and growing health initiatives throughout India, Africa and the United States. Katharine has a dual MPH/MBA from Johns Hopkins University and a BA from UC Berkeley.
