K-12 EDUCATION

Robert Crosby, III

Director, Valhalla Foundation

Robert works on Valhalla’s K-12 education portfolio. In this role, he informs the development of strategy and grant recommendations and manages a portfolio of grantees that empower educators and drive innovation in teaching and learning. He provides strategic coaching and thought partnership to grantees to accelerate their impact with a focus on improving student outcomes.

With more than 15 years of experience driving systemic change in education and philanthropy, Robert previously led the Amazon Future Engineer program, a global initiative expanding access to computer science education for underserved students. He also served as Managing Director of Partnerships at the Flamboyan Foundation and held leadership roles in education nonprofits, focusing on building educator capacity. Robert began his career as an educator, teaching in Washington, D.C., and Hong Kong.

Robert holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University, and a Bachelor of Journalism in Strategic Communications from the University of Missouri.
