Ross leads Valhalla’s environmental innovation portfolio, which focuses on cutting methane pollution to protect people and nature.
Before joining Valhalla, Ross spent a decade at Emerson Collective, helping build Emerson’s philanthropy and investment practices and helping launch the Waverley Street Foundation, which supports community-centered energy and food solutions. He began his career in education, teaching fifth grade and scaling technology to support educators.
Ross holds a BA from the University of Michigan, an MA from the Stanford Graduate School of Education, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
A proud native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Ross now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife, daughter, and dozens of trees he has grown from seed.
